Breakdown of Uptool pages

1. Dashboard Page

  • Email Auto-Sync: Incoming customer emails automatically populate the central RFQ Dashboard without manual data entry

  • RFQ Triaging & Job Prioritization: Review incoming RFQs, assign employees/statuses, and filter high-value jobs

  • Manual Import: Upload and organize 2D engineering drawings (PDF, DXF, DWG) and 3D CAD models (STEP, IGES, Catia, ProE)

The Dashboard Page serves as your centralized mission control for managing incoming request pipelines. By automatically syncing customer emails and capturing attached CAD files or 2D engineering drawings, it eliminates manual data entry and file uploads, unifying all RFQs in one real-time view. Estimators can quickly prioritize high-margin jobs, assign team members, update statuses, or manually upload additional project files to keep jobs moving efficiently.

2. Overview Page

  • Last Email: Review latest communication with customers, respond, and create new email threads all within the Uptool application

  • Review Imported Files: All attachments that were automatically or manually imported are visible and organized into their respective categories (Drawings, CAD, BOM, etc.) Additional RFQ files can also be uploaded

  • Part Tree: Uptool reviews RFQs and builds a list of parts and assemblies here. Users can edit the matched files and create new parts

  • Part & BOM Extraction: AI parsing of individual part specifications and multi-part assembly BOM hierarchies (de-duplicating child parts)

The Overview Page breaks down the full anatomy of an incoming RFQ, unifying file organization and customer communication into a single interface. Uptool's AI automatically parses multi-part assemblies to extract complete BOM hierarchies while deduplicating child parts and categorizing drawings, CAD models, and specifications. Users can inspect part trees, review past email threads, and verify all project documents before proceeding to technical estimation.

3. Estimate Page

  • Integrated Viewports: View CAD and Engineering Drawings within the application

  • Geometric Dimension and Tolerance Analysis: Automated identification, highlighting, and tabular summary of tight tolerances and critical callouts

  • Material & Process Detection: Auto-detection of material types and finishing processes (e.g., anodizing, heat treat, powder coating) from analyzed files (CAD & Drawings)

  • Manufacturing Routing: Review or define operations, machine selection, setup times, programming hours, and cycle runtimes

The Estimate Page brings technical drawing analysis directly alongside your costing calculations. Utilizing built-in 2D/3D viewports, Uptool automatically detects material callouts, surface finishes, and tight tolerances directly from imported files. Estimators can then review the operations. Allowing estimators to freely adjust machine selections, setup times, programming hours, and cycle runtimes, to produce precise, reproducable cost estimates in minutes.

4. Quote Page

  • Markups & Lead Times: Apply configurable profit margins, volume discounts, material markups, and lead-time schedules

  • Efficient Quoting: Select all part entries to make multiple selections at once

The Quote Page transforms technical cost estimates into structured commercial pricing strategies. Here, estimators can establish profit margins, layer on material markups, configure lead-time schedules, and apply volume discounts across line items. With batch-selection capabilities, you can update margins and parameters across multiple parts simultaneously, streamlining complex multi-part proposals into a clean, unified quote.

5. Send Page

  • Email Dispatch & Dashboard Tracking: Review and send the quote to the customer directly within Uptool and monitoring status, revisions, and win/loss updates

  • Email Integration: Edit the email and send the quote to customers all within the application

The Send Page handles final quote delivery and ongoing opportunity tracking directly inside Uptool. Estimators can preview customer-facing proposals, customize cover email text, and dispatch quotes directly to customer inboxes without leaving the platform. Once sent, real-time dashboard tracking captures status changes, revision requests, and win/loss updates to keep your entire sales pipeline synchronized.
